The Russian & English Trade & Transport Association, the con-

cern in which promley and Jenkins are interested have now removed

from 84, Bedford Court Mansions (Bromley's flat) to 18, Buckingham

Palace Road (Jenkins's flat) owing to the expiration of the three

years agreement under which gromley's flatwas leased.

Jenkins was out when ▼ called at 18, Buckingham Palace Road,

but I saw Miss Horseman, his secretary, who explained the meaning

of the various obscure points in the letter. "Likely now promises

statement to-morrow" refers to the purchase of romley's furniture

by the original tenant of the flat. I learn from Hobson, Richards

& Co., the Estate Agent for Bedford Court Mansions, that No. 84

was let in September 1913 under a three years agreement to a man

named Likely of 8, Broad Street Place. This agreement was assigned to

Bromley in September 1915, and on expiration was extended for one

quarter. The furniture was bought by Bromley from Likely on entry

into the flat under an undertaking that Likely would buy it back

at the expiration of the lease.

H.M. & Co., is a Chinese firm named Hang Mo & Co., of Hongkong,

1

as already explained in my report in 57184. Mo was until recently a partner in this firm but has now removed and has offered Bromley his agency. Chu is the predominant partner in Hang Mo & Co.

Miss Horseman informed me that apart from the export of small quantities of general merchandise from England, no business has been done with Hang Mo & Co., since the case of Opium which was the cause of the original investigation into Bromley's affairs she admits
